For me personally, to be out in this area, to be out in this beautiful creation that God has provided for us, allows me to meditate on the gifts God provides for us in sacred nature.
What is sacred nature, I am sure our native American Indians could very clearly explain to us what it means for sacred nature, and how it takes place, and how we are the recipients of such a gift from God our creator.
Sacred nature is anything that we see with our own eyes feel with our own touch smell with our own sense of being present with nature and with the sacred.
When we look at the definition of sacred we know just by the name the word the phrase sacred nature tells us that we are in the divine presence of Almighty god.
As humans we are very much connected to nature, we are connected because God, as created this for us, for our enjoyments. We here in the book of Genesis the first book of the Bible God saw that it was good evening and morning followed. It was as if God himself in the creation story was excited about how he was filling the world, and at the same time filling the universe with his divine nature.
It would be important for all of us now that the pandemic is slowly ending however we're not out of it yet, but it gives us enough time, to go out and to be out in the sacred nature that God has provided. It gives us an opportunity, to rest from our work, to give ourselves the time, to as it were B in communion with mother earth.
As we draw close to the end of this week, I would like to suggest to everyone who reads this, to spend some time this weekend and give glory and praise to God for his sacred nature that he gives us each day.
We will soon be immersed with the beauty of the flower moon. The flower Moon comes in late May. The native American Indians believed by this time most everywhere the beauty of flowers would be completely exposed to our site to our senses. What a gift to be able to witness such a gift as the flower Moon.
So I would like to conclude my thoughts today with the idea of the beauty in nature that has been given to us and that we take the time now that God has given us a beautiful spring and the weather here in the Midwest, is glorious, we're going to be getting up close to 90 over the weekend, you can't not love it.
Also this weekend we celebrate memorial day, a day in which we remember all those men and women who offered themselves for the service of others, no matter what the cost. And how many sacrificed their lives so that you and I can enjoy this coming weekend in peace and in tranquility. Holy nature sacred nature and memorial Day are wonderful times in which we can give thanks to almighty God for these blessed gifts that he created the people of God and the nature that he awesomely Love's for our sake.
As we begin our memorial Day weekend let us keep in mind and in prayer all those first responders are nurses our doctors are firefighters police officers are brothers and sisters in military service, but most especially those who are on the front lines this past year during the corona 19 virus pandemic. Amen.
The photo below is a group of awesome firefighters here in Joliet Illinois. I stay there awesome because they truly are, they have the gift of fraternal life, and care for each other. This picture is Firefighter Dave's, last day, they are saying goodbye to an old comrade.
It is not easy to say goodbye, it's easier to say so long! I would like to say to each and every one of these awesome firefighters and all firefighters, please never take for granted who you are, what you are, what a gift you are to others. Continue to serve humanity with all your soul with all your might! Each and every one of you will be one day in heaven because of the kindness and generosity that you showed others in time of need.
